Good Afternoon Jackson Junior High School Students and Families.
This is Andrew Gardner, Principal of Jackson Junior High School,
I am glad to say that we are over the hump of 4th quarter progress reports and the end of the year is in sight. We acknowledge and appreciate all the work our families and students are doing to adjust for distance learning and doing their best to participate in online learning and balancing their many responsibilities.
Here are a few updates as we head into the end of the year
6th/7th graders be on the look out for an Elective Request Google Form for next school year. This will be sent to your school email, and you will need to log in to your school google account to complete it.
8th grade families be on the look out for promotion information and ways to participate. We are working closely with the district office and Ione Junior High School to provide the best possible recognition and promotion ceremony for our 8th graders
At this time, there is no plan to return or collect items from the school. We will not be able to facilitate any collection or distribution of resources and materials from the school site until we have direction from the Health Department and District office. We will let you know as soon as we are able to allow people on campus and our plan for collecting books and picking up materials from school. In the meantime, please take good care of the school resources while in your possession.
Finally, its Teacher Appreciation Week. I encourage you to send a thoughtful email to your teachers this week and let them know how much you appreciate what they are doing to support you during distance learning.
Good Luck this week! The end is in sight. Keep you heads up and see it through to June!
