I have been the Principal of Jackson Junior High School for 11 wonderful years. Prior to JJHS, I was the Principal of Sutter Creek Elementary for 7 years. I love children and have a passion for learning and sharing. Middle school is exciting and challenging at the same time.
Teaching is one of my passions. Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade and Kindergarten. Kindergarten is my favorite grade to teach.
I have lived in Jackson for 22 years. I have one son, who graduated from Argonaut High School. He resides in Folsom. I have two wonderful dogs – a Border Collie and an Aussie.
Another passion is traveling and seeing new places. Last year I visited Marseille, France. It was so wonderful to visit. My favorite town in France was Aix-en-Provence. I look forward to going back there someday. This year I am taking students and families from Jackson Jr. High to Washington D.C. and New York. Everyone is so excited! I look forward to exploring and sharing with the students, friends, and families attending.
Drama is another passion of mine. Each year I organize a trip to Ashland, Oregon to be a part of the Shakespeare Festival. This year we travel in May to see plays, participate in a theater workshop, and tour the stages of Ashland. It is an exciting trip.
I am proud to be the Principal of JJHS. We have a wonderful community and awesome students and families. I look forward to being at school each and every day.
