The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

District News & Announcements

Help Bring the Arts to Elementary Students 🎨

We are seeking individuals who are interested in teaching dance, visual and/or electronic arts, and theatre in the 2025/2026 school year. As a contracted provider, you would work one day per week at an elementary school to provide instruction to our students.

If you are interested in interviewing for one (or more) of these positions, please reach out to the school site you would like to support!

Handwriting Without Tears - Curriculum Review

Families are encouraged to come to the district office to review the new Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. Upon adoption, this curriculum will be in place in TK-6 grade classrooms.

Community Advisory Committee Meeting

There will be a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting on June 3. This is the last meeting of the year. We look forward to seeing you there!

News From the Community

Summer Youth Bus Pass

Amador Transit is offering a Summer youth bus pass for kids 6-17 years old. The bus pass provides 2 months of unlimited bus rides on all in-county bus routes for $40. See the attached flyer or visit amadortransit.com for more information.

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on June 11, 2025, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St., Jackson, CA 95642. Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.

Pine Grove Float Parade 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

On May 20th, Pine Grove Elementary held its annual Float Parade!
The types of floats were split by grade level: 4th grade did counties, 5th grade did states, and 6th grade did countries. The float parade is a culminating event celebrating the research they did for their reports and presentations. Great job, everyone!

Celebrating our Retirees
