Dear Jackson Junior High Families,
I hope you’ve had a fun and restful summer and are enjoying these last few days before school begins. On behalf of the entire Jackson Junior High team, welcome back! Whether your family is returning or joining us for the first time, we’re glad you’re here.
As we begin the new school year, we’ll continue helping our students stay on TRACK by being Trustworthy, Respectful, Accountable, Courageous, and Kind. Here are a few important details to help everyone get off to a strong start:

Tuesday, August 11th, 8:00 AM–11:00 AM
WEB Orientation for Incoming 7th Graders and New 8th Graders
Our 8th-grade WEB Leaders have planned a fun morning to help new students feel comfortable, connected, and ready for their first day at Jackson Junior High. Students may arrive around 8am with a start time of 8:30am. Bus transportation and a light lunch will be provided. Please see the attached flyer for details.
Wednesday, August 12th
First Day of School
Students should arrive by 8:00 AM with their supplies and ready to get started!
Thursday, August 13th, 6:00 PM–7:30 PM
Back-to-School Night
Come meet your student’s teachers and learn more about the year ahead. It’s a great opportunity to get to know our staff and begin building a strong school-home partnership.
Thursday–Friday, August 20th & 21st
Picture Days During Students’ PE Periods
Order forms will be available in the school office, or families may order online.
Please log in to your Aeries Parent Portal and complete Data Confirmation before the first day of school. This is required for your student to receive their class schedule and helps ensure we have current emergency contact and medical information.
Student schedules will be available in Aeries beginning Friday, August 7 after 5:00 PM, but only for students whose Aeries Data Confirmation has been completed.
🎒 What to Bring on the First Day
Students should bring:
A backpack
A refillable water bottle
Basic supplies, including pens, pencils, and a notebook
Most importantly, a willingness to learn, connect, and be part of our Jaguar community
🏫 Want to Get Involved?
Middle school is a particularly important time to stay involved in your child’s education, even when they become a little extra prickly and act as though they no longer need you. They may want more independence, but they still need adults who ask questions, check in, and show up.
We are looking for parents and guardians interested in joining our School Site Council and/or Parent Group. These groups help guide school improvement efforts, support student activities, and make sure family voices are part of the conversation.
